Nested in the Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus, this training equips participants with the theories and skills to conduct effective conflict analysis in post-conflict contexts. The course is designed for humanitarian and development workers who seek to include peace-building components in their programming, and to acquire hands-on, readily-usable conflict analysis tools.
What will I learn?
– An overview of the Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus;
– An understanding of the importance of the Peace component within the Nexus;
– Approaches to integrate the Peace component in humanitarian and development programming;
– A framework of conflict analysis, including its theoretical underpinnings, potential and limitations;
– Practical tools and approaches to analyse the motivations and relationships of actors, conflict dynamics, including the place of your own organisation in the context;
– Strategies to turn analysis into action by identifying entry points and developing peace-building interventions that mesh with humanitarian and development projects.
